【摘要】:Lightthatisscattereduponpassingthroughafilmorsheetofamaterialcanproduceahazyorsmokyfieldwhenobjectsareviewedthroughthematerial.Anothereffectcanbeveilingglare,asoccursinanautomobilewindshieldwhendrivingintothesun.Althoughhazemeasurementsaremademostcommonlybytheuseofahazemeter,aspectrophotometermaybeused,providedthatitmeetsthegeometricandspectralrequirementsofSection5.Theuseofaspectrophotometerforhazemeasurementofplasticscanprovidevaluablediagnosticdataontheoriginofthehaze,andProcedureBisdevotedtotheuseofaspectrophotometer.ProcedureA(hazemeter)testvaluesarenormallyslightlyhigherandlessvariablethanProcedureB(spectrophotometer)testvalues.Regularluminoustransmittanceisobtainedbyplacingaclearspecimenatsomedistancefromtheentranceportoftheintegratingsphere.However,whenthespecimenishazy,thetotalhemisphericalluminoustransmittancemustbemeasuredbyplacingthespecimenattheentranceportofthesphere.Themeasuredtotalhemisphericalluminoustransmittancewillbegreaterthantheregularluminoustransmittance,dependingontheopticalpropertiesofthesample.Withthistestmethod,thespecimenisnecessarilyplacedattheentranceportofthesphereinordertomeasurehazeandtotalhemisphericalluminoustransmittance.Hazedatarepresentativeofthematerialmaybeobtainedbyavoidingheterogeneoussurfaceorinternaldefectsnotcharacteristicofthematerial.Hazeandluminous-transmittancedataareespeciallyusefulforqualitycontrolandspecificationpurposes.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofspecificlight-transmittingandwide-angle-light-scatteringpropertiesofplanarsectionsofmaterialssuchasessentiallytransparentplastic.Twoproceduresareprovidedforthemeasurementofluminoustransmittanceandhaze.ProcedureAusesahazemeterasdescribedinSection5andProcedureBusesaspectrophotometerasdescribedinSection8.Materialhavingahazevaluegreaterthan30%isconsidereddiffusingandshouldbetestedinaccordancewithPracticeE2387.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Note18212;Forgreaterdiscriminationamongmaterialsthatscatterahighpercentoflightwithinanarrowforwardangle,suchasisthecasewithabradedtransparentplastics,adjustthehazemeterandperformmeasurementsinaccordancewithTestMethodD1044.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;ThistestmethodisnotequivalenttoISO13468-1andISO/DIS14782.

【摘要】:Thefieldexaminationandpetrographicexaminationinthispracticealongwithappropriatelaboratorytestingmaybeusedtodeterminethesuitabilityofrockforerosioncontrol.Itshouldidentifyanddelineateareasorzonesoftherock,beds,andfaciesofunsuitableormarginalcompositionandpropertiesduetoweathering,alteration,structuralweaknesses,porosity,andotherpotentiallydeleteriouscharacteristics.Boththerockmasspropertiesandtherockmaterialpropertiesmustbeevaluated.4.2.1Therockmasspropertiesarethelithologicpropertiesoftheinsiturockthatmustbeevaluatedonamacroscopicscaleinthefield.Thesewouldincludefeaturessuchasfractures,joints,faults,bedding,schistosity,andlineations,aswellasthelateralandverticalextentoftherockunit.4.2.2Therockmaterialpropertiesarethoselithologicpropertiesthatmaybeevaluatedusingsmallspecimensandthuscanbesubjecttomeaningfullaboratorytesting.Thesepropertieswouldincludemineralcomposition,grainsize,rockhardness,degreeofweathering,porosity,unitweight,andmanyothers.Rockproposedforuseinerosioncontrolapplicationswillnormallybeclassifiedaseitherfilterbeddingstone,riprapstone,armorstone,orbreakwaterstone.However,theseproceduresmaybealsoextendedtorocksusedingroinandgabionstructures.1.1Thispracticecoverstheevaluationofrocktobeusedforerosioncontrol.Thecomplexityandextentofthisevaluationwillbegovernedbythesizeanddesignrequirementsoftheindividualproject,thequantityandqualityofrockrequired,andthepotentialriskforpropertydamageorlossofhumanlife.1.2Itisnotintendedthatalloftheevaluationslistedinthispracticebeaddressedforeveryproject.Forsomesmall,lesscriticaljobs,avisualinspectionoftherockmaybeallthatisnecessary.Severaloftheevaluationslistedmaybenecessaryonlarge,complex,high-hazardprojects.Theintensityandnumberofevaluationsmadeonanyoneprojectmustbedeterminedbythedesigner.1.3Examinationoftherockatthesource,evaluationofsimilarrockexposedtotheenvironmentatanyfieldinstallations,aswellaslaboratorytestsmaybenecessarytodeterminethepropertiesoftherockasrelatedtoitspredictedperformanceatthesiteofintendeduse(1,2,3,4,5,6).1.4Theexaminationoftherockatitssourceisessentialtoitsevaluationforerosioncontrolandaidsintheplanningofthesubsequentlaboratoryexaminations.Verylargepiecesofrockuptoseveraltonsweightareusedinthecontroloferosion;thusgreatcaremustbetakenwiththefielddescriptionsandinthesamplingprogramtoassurethatzonesofimpuritiesorweaknessesthatmightnotoccurinordinarysizespecimensarerecordedandevaluatedfortheirdeleteriouspotentialundertheconditionsofintendeduse.Itisnecessarythattheintendedmethodofrockremovalbestudiedtoascertainwhetherthesamplestakenwillcorrespondtotheblasting,handling,andweatheringhistoryoftherockthatwillfinallybeused().1.5Thespecificproceduresemployedinthelaboratoryexaminationsdependonthekindofrock,itscharacteristics,mineralcomponents,macroandmicrostructure,andperhapsmostimportantly,theintendeduse,sizeofthepieces,andtheexposureconditionsatthesiteofuse(1,2,3,4).1.6Itisassumedthatthispracticewillbeusedbypersonnelwhoarequalifiedbyeducationandexperiencetoplanthenecessaryevaluationsandtoconductthemsothatthenecessaryparametersofthesubjectrockwillbedefined.Therefore,thispracticedoesnotattempttodetailthelaboratorytechniquesrequired,butrathertomentionthemandonlydetailthosepropertiesthatmustbeof......
