【摘要】:Thefreezingpointofanaviationfuelisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Solidhydrocarboncrystalscanrestricttheflowoffuelinthefuelsystemoftheaircraft.Thetemperatureofthefuelintheaircrafttanknormallydecreasesduringflightdependingonaircraftspeed,altitude,andflightduration.Thefreezingpointofthefuelmustalwaysbelowerthantheminimumoperationalfueltemperature.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthefreezingpoint.Thistestmethodexpressesresultswitharesolutionof0.1x00B0;C.ThistestmethodeliminatesmostoftheoperatortimeandjudgmentrequiredbyTestMethodD2386.WhenthespecificationrequirestheuseofTestMethodD2386,donotsubstitutethistestmethodoranyothermethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetemperaturebelowwhichsolidhydrocarboncrystalsmayforminaviationturbinefuels.Note18212;ThistestmethoddescribesanalternativeprocedureandautomaticapparatuswhichcloselymimicstheapparatusandproceduredescribedinTestMethodD2386.1.2Themeasuringrangeoftheapparatusisfrom-70to0x00B0;C,howevertheprecisionstatementswerederivedonlyfromsampleswithfreezingpointtemperaturesfrom-60to-42x00B0;C.Note28212;Typicalaviationfuelhasfreezingpointtemperaturesinthe-60to-40x00B0;Crange.1.3Someresultsfromthistestmethod(14%ofsamplesincludedinthe2003roundrobin)incorrectlyidentifiedsamplecontaminationwherenocontaminantswerepresentinthesamples(seeresearchreportforfurtherinformation).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.

【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingthewater(moisture)contentofsoilsbydryingwithdirectheat,suchasusingahotplate,stove,blowtorch,etc.1.2ThistestmethodcanbeusedasasubstituteforTestMethodsD2216whenmorerapidresultsaredesiredtoexpediteotherphasesoftestingandslightlylessaccurateresultsareacceptable.1.3WhenquestionsofaccuracybetweenthistestmethodandTestMethodsD2216arise,TestMethodsD2216shallbetherefereemethod.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicableformostsoiltypes.Forsomesoils,suchasthosecontainingsignificantamountsofhalloysite,mica,montmorillonite,gypsum,orotherhydratedmaterials,highlyorganicsoilsorsoilsthatcontaindissolvedsolids,(suchassaltinthecaseofmarinedeposits),thistestmethodmaynotyieldreliablewatercontentvalues.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.6RefertoPracticeD6026forguidanceconcerningtheuseofsignificantfigures.Thisisimportantifthewatercontentwillbeusedtocalculateotherrelationshipssuchasmoistmasstodrymassorviceversa,wetunitweighttodryunitweightorviceversa,andtotaldensitytodrydensityorviceversa.Forexample,iffoursignificantdigitsarerequiredinanyoftheabovecalculations,thenthewatercontenthastoberecordedtothenearest0.1%.Thisoccurssince1plusthewatercontent(notinpercent)willhavefoursignificantdigits,While,ifthreesignificantdigitsareacceptable,thenthewatercontentcanberecordedtothenearest1%1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
